Hello! I’m Mio, co-founder and director at Verhous. With extensive experience as a senior leader in the construction industry, I have spent over a decade working with leading main contractors, house builders, developers, and consultants across the UK, particularly in Central London.

Alongside verhous I work for a national fire engineering practice as the Group Operations Director, where I manage an operations team, fire engineering team and fire surveying team. Previously, I successfully led the portfolio of remedial works for a FTSE 250 UK house builder through stages of pre-construction, technical design, procurement, and operations. I also played a key role in establishing the cladding remediation team at Kier Group, directing a team of design managers, planners, and quantity surveyors during the critical pre-construction phase.

Known for my dynamic leadership and personable approach, I excel in overseeing and executing multiple concurrent projects and managing geographically dispersed teams. My career is defined by my ability to lead diverse, high-performing teams and effectively engage with stakeholders at all management levels.

Crystal Dugalo

I'm Crystal, the co-founder and director at Verhous, where we aim to redefine luxury residential construction with innovative design and technical excellence. With a solid background of over ten years in the sector, my career is rooted in the heart of Central London’s construction industry.

Before embarking on my entrepreneurial journey at Verhous, I managed a significant portfolio of remedial works as an independent expert consultant in London and the East for a FTSE 250 UK house builder. This role sharpened my skills in overseeing large-scale projects and navigating the complexities of construction phases effectively.

My professional repertoire includes leading roles at renowned UK development organizations such as Berkeley Group, L&Q, and Crest Nicholson, where I served as Head of Design & Technical. In these roles, I led teams in delivering high-quality residential projects, from appraising land opportunities to implementing cost and technical solutions that adapt to changing environmental and market conditions.
